BLOG # 15: COLORS OF HUE

 As I wander into the unknown,
I fear that I might never come home;
Sky is dark and gloomy;
Woods are filled with uncertainty;
Howls, screech, shriek, shrill, reverberates into the air,
Evinced no hope but despair,
Manifest no strength but fear;
Jerks the eye a tear.

As I continue into the night,
I waved my dying light.
The arduous journey is about to end,
I now welcome the notion of death,
"Depart", I say. And Depart in life, I will--
Alas! I saw a light,
A colorful flash that slits through the dark,
I sought to ascertain if this be,
a figment of fantasy.

'Twas a bright damsel by the river;
A walking kaleidoscope
of conflicting polychromatic shades;
quilted to form an ethereal being.
She sings and hymn familiar notes;
Glowing brightly with every melody.

Allured and mystified,
I saw the damsel lit up the dark riverside.
I held my hands into the air,
tinges of color starts to appear.
I was a fading hue;
Rejuvenated and renewed by the colors of you.
